WANG Guanglin, Professor of English at School of English Studies, Shanghai International Studies University, Adjunct Professor at School of Media, Culture and Creative Arts, Faculty of Humanities, Curtin University, and honorary fellow of University of Central Lancashire. He is theVice President of Chinese Association of Australian Studies, Standing Council Member of Shanghai Association for the Study of Foreign Literatures and Council Member of Shanghai Translator’s Association. He serves on the editorial board of Anthem Studies in Australian Literature and Culture, Anthem Press.

Professor Wang is the author of Translation in Diasporic Literatures (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019, which won 2020 Book Prize for an original work of scholarship published in English by FASIC, Australia) and Being and Becoming: On Cultural Identities of Diasporic Chinese Writers in America and Australia (Tianjin: Nankai University Press, 2004, 2006). He co-edited with Professor David Carter Modern Australian Criticism and Theory (Qingdao: China Ocean University Press, 2010) and contributed to The Greenwood Encyclopedia of Asian American Literature (Westport, CT: Greenwood, 2008). He co-edited with Professor Huang Yuanshen the series of Contemporary Australian Novels in Chinese Translation (10 volumes, Shanghai Translation Publishing House, 2010), which won special translation award from ACC (2012). He founded the journals of Australian Cultural Studies and Business English Teaching and Research, of which he is the chief editor. He is also the translator of WaldenBackgrounds of European LiteratureShanghai DancingShakespeare and Law, Imagined Human Beings, Typical American, Honor and Duty, and China Boy, among others.

Professor Wang has taught English & American Literature, Western Critical Theories, Chinese Culture, Intercultural Business Communication, Reading and Writing, Readings in World Classics, and Diasporic Chinese Literature in English.

Currently he is working on a book with Routledge.
