Dr. Byron Byrne-Taylor first studied English Literature at Sussex University, UK. He went on to study an MPhil in Modern Languages at the University of Cambridge between 2016-2017, then received a scholarship to study Philosophy & History MA at the Central European University in Budapest, in 2017-2018. He completed his PhD in Comparative Literature and Translation Studies at University College London (2018-2023). Having specialised in Brazilian, Russian and German literary modernism and the theme of untranslatability within his doctorate, during this period he also attended the Institute of World Literature at Harvard University (2019) and Yale University through the Yale-UCL Collaborative Program (2021). He presently teaches at the School of English Studies at SISU and is available to advise research students in the fields of English Literature, Comparative Literature, Continental Philosophy, World Literature and Translation Studies.
